Since I have a strong build, I ordered a large size but had big problems tying the bow tie so I had to use something from my own wardrobe (tie). I have had a black bow tie for many years with a different description on the knot and have used it on other occasions but I also had problems with that. I would have liked a larger circumference that would give more room to tie.
