A herringbone tie is not just suberbly looking pattern design in general, it's also a pattern that adapts very well to its surrounding. While the thin lines of the herringbones will show on a white shirt, creating a small-pattern or striped look, this design will appear solid when using a shirt with a more eye-catching pattern, like a checkered shirt.
